rudy lim ooi chai

He came down to KL from Sabah to visit his relatives last xmas. I invited him to my church service and buffet thenceforth.
John lim, rudy lim, kycheah at FGA Selayang, KL
Incidentally he is making the trip this coming July. If you wanna catch up with him, let me know.

He has lots and lots to tell about those long 'lost' or intervening years if you like. He left Teluk Anson for the 'green pastures of 'the land below the wind' in 1962.

Our paths never crossed until I heard of his whereabout from Wilson Koh and the rest is...like we all say... is history

I only heard half of his tale. Will continue where he left off, this July. You bet.

Dr.bobby lim peng swee

A mouthful of his achievements in school was a clear indication of his future career persuits culminating as a doctor.
His attributes as a leader in school stood him out head and shoulders above many others and
put him amongst the cream of the crop.

Therefore it was no wonder that he has become what he is today.
However he is still the same ole gentle and soft spoken dude we knew years ago. Talk to him and you will agree with me.

Plenty more to say but I will add on as we go along, with more input from you people out there.
From 'the man' himself as well.

Written in good faith and sans malice

Peter, was a Teacher until his retirement. I have always liked the way he wrote and drew. He was winning prizes for art and design from day one in 1960 and until today he has still shown no sign of slowing down.

The other day, one of his ex-pupils Shahed emailed me about his whereabouts. You know Ah Khor was their favorite teacher and he was their biggest fan.He had inspired them to do painting, traveling and collecting stamps.

I am a professional designer and artist but I don't think I come even a distant second if I ever competed with him.

Way to go, man.

acs school song 1959

The ACS School Anthem (As sung by us in 1959 during the school's diamond jubilee celebration.School was founded in 1899)

Not so very long ago,
Only 60 years or so,
Horley dauntless hero came,
Founded our beloved school,
TA Anglo Chinese School,
T
hough it then was new in name,
But the banner then unfurled,
Now its known throughout the world.
ACS, ACS Your country can depend on you,
Years we spend, In our classrooms,
Will make us brave and true,
ACS,ACS, To do the right we are not afraid,
And we are proud,
We are pupils of the ACS.

Note: Lest we forget. Thanks to Sng Ang Heng to keep the flag flying and the camaraderie alive.

bey soon chin

Bey was our 1st TA Company Boys' Brigade, Staff Sergeant in the late 50s.

He was with us in Kampar last 1. July 2010. This dude does not look a day over 50! What's his secret of 'The Elixir of Youth''.

Check it out with him. I have his number. Call me and I will call you.

ronald kuan siew poh

This handsome couple with the infectious smile that will capture your heart a mile away.

Since discovering that we have our alma mater dinners in peninsula malaysia he and wife julie saw to it that they would be part of it, no matter what. Bless their hearts.

In his own words, "...a rare joy to meet up with old friends...we are closely bonded... Thank God for this wonderful opportunity."

If Ronald and Julie could come all the way from south of the border, it baffles me as to why many opt to stay away.

Only you can answer that.

victor wong

Our drummer in The Boys' Brigade 1st TA Company in 1950s, who joined our 'band of brothers' after a lapse of 48 years.

It couldn't have happened at a better time for him to be now walking in our midst.
God is at work; of that I am sure. Hallelujah, God be praised.

Why? For He has sent Victor, now an Itinerary Preacherman to reach out to show us the way to be saved. Amen

tham leong

Tham Leong has 'come a long way' since leaving ACS Teluk Anson in 1962. After completing his tertiary education he served as an HM in Kampar.

Not the type to sit and rest on his laurels he aspired for more challenging things and became The president of the Boys' Brigade Malaysia, reaching the pinnacle of his success. Something like what you and I could only dream of.

He was bestowed accolades and decorations by King and country in his career path.

Blessed with boundless energy and enthusiasm to do good, he is now completely immersed in community work for his school and society. (A time when most of us would just contend to sit and watch the world pass us by.)
He is truly blessed.

We are delighted that we have a person in him who is 'larger than life' to call our very own 'classmate of ACS Teluk Anson.'

teoh seng cheak

I have his old school photo but would not be doing him justice to post it here.

He was with us for dinner at the Golden Sun In OUG on 13.12.2009 and together with me and Rudy Lim Ooi Chai 2 weeks later at the pasar seni, kl where we spent a day together.

He was wearing a 'frenchcap' no I don't mean that kind. Don't be naughty!
It was to hide his thinning crown and receding forehead, that's what the man said. I can't agree with him more, coz I don a cap too for the same reasons.*Haha*

lim seow yang

Lim Sooo Young...sorry just punning. But really and frankly he did look young, very much younger than his age, our ages hovering between 63 and 65! *sniff sniff*

When I saw him, I saw 'Happy Store' flashing before my eyes. a place we all went for our newspapers/magazines and stationery in those days.

The store still around? Forgot to ask him. check it out.

He was always full of fun, confidence and rattling away whether you are hearing him or not!
There are so many fascinating things I can say about this dude. but I think it wise and discreet to leave many things unsaid otherwise he will cook my 'goose'. *Haha*.

But I remember one hilarious incident, when he annoyed Mr. Manuel, our Geography teacher who admonished him and told him 'to climb up Gunung Tahan and plant rice for the people of Malaysia.' Haha

But having said all that, one cannot help but find this dude a delightful friend, for being what he was and is, I hope. *smile*
Note:All things are said in good faith and sans malice.

He and a few others were the bright sparks, with outstanding abilities, in our time. The office he held and his long list of extra-curricular activities during schooldays was no fluke and it attested to his phenomenal success in life today.

lim siong seng

Know something? He and I worked in the same dept. for over 30 years. I was amazed when he told me he worked with TV Malaysia." You kidding me, dude?"...was I amazed.
